Joe Clements

From Cindy McLean’s face book page: “Joe Clements was Bob McKeever’s best friend and was his mechanic at the Daytona 200 in 1948. He was a master machinist, having worked on parts of the A bomb at Los Alamos, N.M. He was only 2 months younger than Bob McKeever whom we lost January 31, 2017. He always found what was wrong with the bike before everyone else. His mechanical awareness was unequaled, finding and fixing problems quickly. He was always instrumental in winning the race.”
