Murray Brown
We have lost a valued member of the NCNO family, Murray Brown. Murray died unexpectedly from cardiac arrest during a run on Monday, July 1, 2013. Murray lived life to the fullest and ensured everyone else did too. Murray joined our club in 2009, and he will be missed. Many of you will remember Murray from some of our meetings or Rolling Thunder Rallys.

formerly of Inver Gove Hts, MN died July 1, 2013 in Alexandria, Virginia. Murray was 61 years old and suffered an unexpected heart attack while out for a run.
Murray was born in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada on December 14, 1951, the middle child of Thelma and Stewart Brown. Murray grew up in Ottawa where he attended university and became a chartered accountant. Most recently, Murray served as Vice President Regional Controller for Brookfield Properties where he worked for over 22 years, first in Minneapolis and most recently in Washington D.C.
Together with his wife, Mary Joyce Flinn, they raised two sons and numerous companion dogs. An avid motorcyclist, runner and traveler, Murray lived life to the fullest and ensured everyone else did too. In addition to his wife of over 20 years, Murray is survived by his sister, Joanne Brown , brother, Brent (Dianne) Brown ; his two boys, Jeff and Scott (Jenny), his favorite grandson, Max and loyal dog Sam. The Old Man’s sarcasm and advice will be greatly missed.
Family and friends may gather on Thursday, July 11, 2013 from 4-6 p.m. at Everly-Wheatley Funeral Home, Alexandria, VA. An additional memorial service will be held in Minnesota on July 14th, 2013 at Sweeney’s Saloon in St. Paul from 4-6 PM. Memorial contributions may be made to the Lupus Foundation of Minnesota.
